International Indigenous Judges Conference and Public Lecture Series Tour

About the project
Hui e is a landmark gathering that will bring together Indigenous judges from across the globe to share knowledge, reflect on shared challenges, and engage in deep kōrero grounded in Indigenous worldviews and legal traditions.
The conference will be followed by a national post-conference tour (28–31 October 2025) featuring public lectures in Auckland, Wellington, Dunedin and Christchurch. These events will deepen public engagement with Indigenous justice and provide opportunities for local communities and legal professionals to learn from international experts.
This kaupapa is being led by a group of senior judges and organisers from across Aotearoa and the globe, and aims to elevate Indigenous voices within national and international legal conversations.
