2018 EOI Round: Knowledge sharing

Firstly, a big ‘Thank You’ to all the amazing people from around New Zealand for sharing their ideas for legal research, legal education, legal lectures. It was a privilege to see the vast range of ideas and proposals.
We’re still in the process of the funding round. While we are not announcing Borrin funded projects just yet, we do want to share what we’ve learnt through our 2018 Expressions of Interest (EOI) Round.
We believe that knowledge has the power to spark change, but only if it is shared. See these three documents:
- Slides : 2018 Borrin EOI: Observations and Stats: this provides some background and analysis from the Borrin Foundation’s first open funding round. We received 101 EOIs, find out more in this presentation.
- 2018 Borrin EOIs – project titles and people: a handy table summarising most of the EOIs we received (with people’s consent to share).
- 2018 Borrin EOIs – Compilation: this compiles most of the EOIs received, by thematic area. It is a great introduction to some amazing ideas and work in New Zealand. It also contains names and contact details of the EOI-er for more information.
Many thanks once again to everyone who contributed to the 2018 EOI Round, and also a big thank you to those who have agreed to share their ideas more widely.
